The Fantasmagoric Shop 'O' Wonders & Other Stories: First Successful Resin Castings!

A few months ago my parents bought me a casting kit with a jar of silicone and bottle of resin. I unsuccessfully tried to cast some stuff with the silicone mould, but it was so bubbly without a vacuum pump I couldnt cast something without loads of lumps in it! But having bought a couple of tubs of Siligum (brilliant stuff) I've been able to cast a few pieces in plastic. I'm so pleased it's worked, because now I can not only create things easily, I can create a lot of them! Plus resin is stronger than clay and I don't have to worry about it breaking! Here's my favourite cast, Chibiusa's Time Key Pendant.

Here it is after I demoulded it....

...and here it is when it's all painted and cleaned up. I love how the finish looks quite antique-like! I cast it with gold ink in the resin and painted it with acrylics.
